J. Greg Canfield serves as Director of Bands at North Valleys High School, overseeing all aspects of the band program. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education from the University of Nevada Reno. He taught Band/Mariachi/Guitar/Choir at Sparks Middle School for 5 years and Choir at Spanish Springs High School for 3. He coached Freshmen Football at Spanish Springs HS as well.

Apart from band directing, Mr. Canfield plays in the Reno Pops Orchestra, works at Lake Tahoe Music Camp, provides private music lessons, walks his dog, and plays Pokemon Go; everyday.
