ATTENTION ALL WASHOE COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT STUDENTS GRADE K-12
ANNOUNCING THE SAFE ROUTES TO SCHOOL 2nd ANNUAL PEDESTRIAN AND BIKE SAFETY MESSAGE POSTER CONTEST.
ONE WINNER IN EACH AGE CATEGORY WILL RECEIVE AN I-PAD, A NEW BIKE AND THEIR ARTWORK WILL BE WRAPPED ON AN RTC BUS FOR ONE YEAR!
Contest Details
-Deadline For Entries is February 7, 2025
-There will be winners in each category: High School, Middle School and Elementary School.
-Elementary School students will be required to incorporate Washoe County School Police K-9 Astro into their safety message.
-Keep in mind, your poster must be easy to understand by drivers, travelling 40 miles per hour.
-Entries must be on 11”’x17” white paper
Instructions:
-The message of this project is to travel safely by foot or bicycle.
-The text used must be short enough for passing motorists to see and read.
-Projects may be designed however you would like (Examples: Computer designed, drawn, colored, painted or a mixture of mediums.)
-All elementary school student submissions must include Washoe County School Police K-9 Astro in their safety message.
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:
Each entry must be clearly labeled on the back with the following information:
-Student Name
-Grade
-Teacher’s Name (First and Last Name)
-School
Entries must be on 14’x20” paper or smaller!
Entries must be received on or before February 7, 2025 at 4:30 P.M.
