Tech Tips for Families
During the 2020-2021 school year, Thursday Tech Tips for Families included live webinars broadcasted on Facebook Live and Youtube, modeling for families technology tips that support children/young adult's learning. This collaboration between the Office of Communications & Community Engagement, 21st Century Learning and Parent University is to support families in navigating the many different learning applications being used during Covid-19.
Below, you will find all of the tech tip videos. All of the content is still applicable for the 2021-2022 school year.
November 5, 2020 - Topic: Screen Time
Thank you for joining us on our November Thursday Tech Tips for Families where experts shared strategies to help monitor your child's online activity and find a balance during distance learning days. Additionally, mental health experts answered your questions about safe limits for screen time and how to best support your children's emotional well-being with online learning. October 15, 2020 - Topic: Checking your Student's Work
This presentation reviewed how you can check your child/young adult's progress on the Infinite Campus Parent Portal, how to monitor the quality of their work on Microsoft Teams and how track your student's learning and progress in Edgenuity.
October 1, 2020 - Topic: Office 365 Suite
Thank you for joining us for the Thursday Tech Tips for Families on October 1st, 2020. This presentation reviewed the Office 365 suite, an online program that includes Word, Excel, Teams, and other applications including how students can use student email to communicate with their teachers. These programs allow students to complete their assignments anywhere they can log-in online.
