Added on 5.14.2020) There is free training available for any and all families and community members to learn Psychological First Aid (PFA) and Skills for Psychological Recovery (SPR) from The National Child Traumatic Stress Network (NCTSN). (NEW! Added on 12.18.2020) Even before quarantine struck in March 2020, mental health concerns such as anxiety and depression have been rising in children and adolescents. With most of our secondary students participating in temporary distance learning, we sought our local professionals' advice to help our families continue supporting our children during the pandemic. Dr. Rachel Cornelius, a psychologist from Renown Health, offers the following advice to families regarding distance learning during the pandemic.
