    Many students might be asked to use Microsoft Teams to complete their assignments online.  See the following video tutorial to help you sign up for Microsoft Teams.  Your child’s teacher will also share sign up information with you.

    Families whose students receive special education services can find information and guidance regarding online on the Special Education tab on the Distance Learning site.

    Schedule and structure: We have included the following suggestions to help you organize your child’s activities to make sure they stay on track with their assignments as well as including physical activity to stay healthy.  Feel free to use or create your own schedules, to better meet the needs of your family.

    Washoe County Library has numerous online resources for families – books, audiobooks, digital magazines, language tutorials, and more.

    • Washoe County Library System has introduced a new Digital Library card during COVID-19. If you do not have a library card already, please go here to sign up for a card and get access to all the library has to offer.

    Community Resources: Senator Catherine Cortez-Masto's, Senator Jacky Rosen’s, and Representative Mark Amodei’s websites have numerous resources to help families deal with the financial struggles during this time. Please click on the names below to access their sites.

    Mental Health –We want to continue providing you with resources to help your children deal with the emotional burden of social distancing.     Food –The Food Bank of Northern Nevada is working with WCSD to provide meals to families.  The most updated locations to pick up meals can be found on our website here https://www.washoeschools.net/Page/14406

    Internet Access- There are a number of internet providers that are making free internet service available for students.  You can find this information here.
