  • CZ Hello and welcome to Turning Point!  It is my pleasure to introduce myself as the Assistant Principal for Turning Point.  I would love to share with you a little about me.  I was born and raised in Reno with my three sisters.  I have been married for 15 years and have two amazing children. This is my 21st year with the school district.  I spent the first 16 years as a teacher and the last four years as Dean of Students.  I graduated from UNR with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary and Special Education.  I went on to obtain my Master’s Degree in 2001 in Education and another Master’s Degree in Educational Administration in 2015.

Your child is in excellent hands, as we are so fortunate to have a strong, dedicated school community supporting our students at Turning Point this year! My door is always open and I welcome the opportunity to work together as a team in the best interest of our students.  I look forward to a productive school year as we build positive and trusting relationship with each person invested in making Turning Point a great place to be!

  • I have been a school nurse for WCSD for 16 years, and with Turning Point for 5 years.  I really enjoy working with our students.  When I’m not at work, I enjoy being outdoors hiking and biking.

If a student is not feeling well, he/she can come to the health office to see me.  I also promote our students health by encouraging frequent hand washing, a healthy diet and getting enough sleep.  Students who practice good health habits are ready to come to school to do their best and they are ready to learn.
