Digital Learning Tools Approval
If a digital learning tool requires student accounts/logins, it must go through the WCSD approval process. To determine if a digital tool is approved for student use, click on the link below. Then, select Digital Learning Tools > WCSD Approved Digital Learning Tools.

Clever: Student Single Sign-On Tool
Students may use Clever to log in to selected WCSD-approved digital tools. Some apps are automatically made available to all students, while other apps are located in the Clever Resource Library. Clever Resource Library apps will be visible to students only after a teacher adds them to the class in Clever. SharePoint: Student Share Drive
Staff members can share hyperlinks with students via the Student Share folder. To access the Student Share folder from school, double click on the globe/monitor icon on your computer desktop and click on the Student Share tab on the left side. Student OneDrive Accounts
Each student and staff member has access to personal OneDrive cloud storage. To open your OneDrive from school, double click on the Blue Clouds icon on your computer desktop. To open it from home, follow the instructions on this page: https://www.washoeschools.net/domain/628. Students can turn in their work by sharing their OneDrive files with their teachers. To access files shared with them, teachers can open their own OneDrive and click on the Shared tab on the left. For step-by-step instructions, see:

Popular Online Educational Tools
The following online educational tools may help novice ETSs who are orienting themselves to their new ETS role: Starfall (Pre-K - 3rd grade), PBS Kids (Pre-K - 2nd grade), ABCya Letters and Numbers (Pre-K - 5th grade, laptop/desktop browsers only), Kid Citizen (Pre-K - 5th grade, primary source photographs for Social Studies), Kiddle (a safe visual search engine for kids). NOTE: These tools do not require student accounts/logins.

Computer Science & Coding
To explore Code.org's courses for students, go to https://studio.code.org/courses and click on the Learn More tab (under Grades K-5). Code.org also compiled a list of Unplugged Lessons for you to use if students are not working on a computer. Students will often work with pencil and paper or physical manipulatives.
Students may use their WCSD Clever accounts to sign in to Code.org. (See Clever info above.) Alternatively, a staff member may create Code.org accounts for students. Typing Lessons
If students use Typing.com without signing in to an account, their progress will not be saved. Students may use their WCSD Clever accounts to sign in to Typing.com, or a staff member may create Typing.com accounts for students (see Account Signup).
