Restorative Practices

Restorative Practice is a way of being that encompasses a range of practices that focus on strengthening relationships, building community, and addressing issues before they become bigger problems.  The focus of the Washoe County School District is prevention-oriented.  We want to build capacity and social capital using Restorative Approaches in the everyday settings of community life:  schools, classrooms, after-school and extra-curricular settings, communities, and workplaces; anywhere that people come together to work, learn, or play.
