Originally from San Rafael, California, I have proudly lived in Reno, Nevada, since 1995.  I have taught for the WCSD since 1996, at numerous schools.  These experiences include Kindergarten through 8th grade, English Language Learners, and Gifted and Talented Education (SWAS).  I spent several years coaching and mentoring teachers through the WCSD Department of Professional Learning.  I enjoy creating a safe and challenging atmosphere for students and teachers, supporting inclusive and equitable practices, and fostering positive relationships between school and family.

I am happily married to the love of my life, and we have three amazing children, three dogs (Yukon and Denali are husky puppies and Daisy is an Aussie/German Shepherd Mix) and a cat who keeps us all in line.  Together, we enjoy camping, skiing, and traveling.  Being from the Bay Area, I keep a close eye on the 49ers and Giants, but I will always Bleed Blue for the Wolfpack!
