WCSD to Unveil Streamlined System for
Bids and Plans on District Projects
What: Local contractors will learn about the streamlined “solicitations platform” that will allow them to be notified about upcoming public works projects. This system will offer an easier, more efficient, “one-stop” online shop for contractors who are interested in obtaining information about District projects and downloading all bid related documents.
When: Wednesday, Jan. 11
Where: Sierra Training Room
1150 Matley Lane (corner of Matley Lane and Vassar)
Details: The Washoe County School District Purchasing Department has developed a new web-based platform that will allow local contractors the ability to learn about bid opportunities, download bid documents and plans, gather information about current project descriptions, estimates, and milestones. This system will make it easier for contractors to submit questions electronically and receive notifications about changes to projects. Registered users may log into the system anytime, 24/7.
This new platform will help contractors stay up-to-date on all current projects while saving them time and money.
As a result of the passage of WC-1 in November, the Washoe County School District will be funding significantly more construction and repairs, as there are many immediate needs at District schools. This new process will offer contractors an easier and more efficient way to do business with the District.
Editors’ Note: Contractors are invited to attend a demonstration on Wednesday, Jan. 11, during which they will see the new system in action. During this event, Andrea Sullivan, Director of Procurement and Contracts for WCSD, and local contractors who plan to use this system will be available for brief interviews with members of the media.
If this event is postponed due to weather, we will contact you as far in advance as possible.
